Pat’s Friends Recipes Site

September 25th, 2013 | Posted by pmpax in Food - (Comments Off on Pat’s Friends Recipes Site)

As a child, I have fond remembrances of my grandmother baking all sorts of wondrous  baked goodies in preparation of Christmas.

Unfortunately, she is no longer with us and many of those recipes that her mother passed down to her are now sadly lost.

With that in mind, I had the idea in creating a web site that would be a place for all of the various recipes of family and friends to be both enjoyed by all who visit, as well as recorded and safeguarded so not to be sadly lost like those of my grandmothers.

So having spent several hours tinkering about and working upon the site, I can now be able to proudly share with you one of my most recent hobby sites for all to enjoy!

Bon Appetit!

A Day of Fresh Baked Bread and Dear Friendship

August 29th, 2013 | Posted by pmpax in Food | Good Times - (Comments Off on A Day of Fresh Baked Bread and Dear Friendship)

Quite some time ago, I had the distinct pleasure to spend an afternoon with one of my dear friends Simeon, who is very much a brother-from-another mother. Now, it must be stated that Simeon is a fellow of many divergent interests, one of which is baking. When I arrived at the house, he happily greeted me and ushered me within, where by once inside, my olfactory senses immediately surmised that there was a loaf of one of his amazingly nom nom nomish sourdough bread baking within the oven. Simple pleasures are by far the best of pleasures. Spending the day with a dear old friend, enjoying freshly baked break together is the type of day that I wish all days were like.

Awesome Burrito

March 6th, 2013 | Posted by pmpax in Food - (Comments Off on Awesome Burrito)

So the other day I went and met up with my buddy Sim for burritos. We went to Freebirds in the Marina. Let me tell you the place rocked! The dude who served us and put our burritos together was a total pro how he flipped, wrapped and worked all of the various elements into one massive burrito. It was a burrito work of art! I was like dude, that rocks! I told him he was the Kobe Bryant of burrito flipping, the Burrito Momba! He was all luaghing. It was refreshing to see someone in L.A. actually work with a smile and have a cool attitude.

I went over to pay and where the manager greeted me with a big, warm smile. I noticed Erin was her name and she was one who you just automatically like and felt right at home with. I told her how impressed I was with everything and that I was going to write about it on my blog, as well as mention it on the Matt and Pat Show. So if your in the mood for a burrito, go to Freebirds and nom nom nom. If Erin is there say hello too! I am so going back!!!!
